My Little Bun | Pregnancy Update

Our little bun is growing bigger and bigger! She's about 29 weeks 5 days old today!
I have taken this week off of work (at Hospice) to design and style a La Lune Wedding this weekend. My bride & groom are fabulous and are making my job so much easier this week...they love doing all of the DIY projects themselves! Their wedding is going to be fabulous and I can't wait to show you all pics on the La Lune Blog.

I have had such a nice, relaxing week to spend with my husband and get caught up on projects. Our remodel is almost complete and ready to sell! I've been finishing up my knitting projects and starting on more. And I've finally mastered how to make a decent loaf of bread thanks to my friend, Kristi, at work. She lent me this book which made the mystery of bread making all make sense! It's all so simple now! I recommend you try this method of bread making! You're house will smell delicious and your tummy will be happy!

While taking it easy this week, I have noticed how active my "little bun" is inside of me. Maybe because I have slowed down, she's been able to speed up! We can now feel feet and hands kicking around in there and can see undulations under my belly as she somersaults around in there! It's very exciting!

We can't wait to have her on the outside! Baby growing is not easy work and carrying around this extra belly is not very convenient for being a nurse and event designer. I love being pregnant, though, and feeling this little life grow and expand inside of me!

A dear friend, Suwanee Lennon, took some photos for the business a few weeks ago. Lindsey Rose did hair and make up. We will be using these on our website soon and she took a few maternity for me!

You're the Butter to my Bread...

My business La Lune Events collaborated with some lovely local vendors in the wedding industry to create a vintage Valentine's Day photoshoot inspired by the iconic Paul & Julia Child. Our theme was based on Paul's famous quote to Julia, “You are the butter to my bread, the breath of my life – I love you my darling girl.”

Alisa's Garden made the mini loaves for this shoot (recipe to follow soon) and the truffles you saw in yesterday's post.

Our gorgeous models are my dear friends I have known since elementary school, Emily & James! They are married now and the sweetest couple...perfect for our vintage photo shoot!

The make up and hair was done by one of our soon-to-be La Lune Brides, Alicia Smith, of Artistic Expressions Make Up.

The amazing natural light photography is from our friend, Megan, of Easy Dreamer Photography!

And the styling, props, and even design were created by La Lune Events!

The stunning fabric florals were made by Emici Bridal! LOVELY!

If you're already craving more of this lovely shoot you can view the entire thing at Green Wedding Shoes where we were featured today!

La Lune Events

Welcome to my new business adventure! Jessica and I are teaming up to bring the Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Spokane area a new creative events design company, La Lune Events. We bring our clients any event they desire; large or small. Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Dinner Parties, Cooking Classes, Anniversary, Graduation, Surprise Celebrations, Ladies Night In! Anything you can dream up...we can put together for you!

Our website is www.laluneevents.com.

After many hours of hard work we pulled off a beautiful dinner party in Hayden last night! Miniature pears were our theme for decorating and the menu came primarily from our garden! (More on that later!)
We baked, sauteed, decorated, grilled, roasted, toasted, mixed, and stirred since Monday morning to put food together for about 25 people. It turned out fabulous and we have tons of left overs. In fact, I had balsamic fig Gorgonzola crostinis for breakfast this morning!

Our photographer, Mary Banducci, took some amazing photos of the event. Here's a sneak peek:

We'll be at the Bridal Fest at the Spokane Convention Center next weekend!
If you have an event coming up, let us know! We'd be happy to help!
